Wood That Gives Wood

Another post for Guitargonauts (or any guitar anoraks): Following on from Furtheron's superb purchase, us players of tree and steel continue to waste our valuable savings (what's left of them) on fine quality axes and expensive guitar straps. Here for your delectation is a Gibson Les Paul Limited Edition Pacific Reef. Manufactured in 2004 - Gibson's centenary year (although there seems to be some dispute over actual start dates) - it's one that seems to be well admired by many that have bought one.
After picking this near mint example up from Birmingham recently (never thought I'd actually see signs to Digbeth Coach Station in the flesh), I took it to my local guitar shop for a fret dress and set up as some of the frets are quite flat at the top and the action needs to come down a tad. It's still there and I can't wait to get it back. In the meantime I'll just have to sit and watch cats in a moshpit.

Did the previous owner show you the Gibson Secret Handshake? If not, you can log onto the Gibson secure server and input the number on the back of the headstock and it'll bring up a diagram...

Your post leaves me slighty confused.....

You said you could not afford (this one) is that the Les Paul pictured? Or are you saying that you have actually bought one? A lesser model perhaps?

Clarification please.......

I love it. Except it's blue. But I think I can live with it. Can't wait to hear/handle it mate. Nice.

Wolfies - We all know that Marco appreciates a Junior. Guitar, that is...

MoMoad - And you'll be more that welcome along!

Kenski - I did wonder what that abalone encrusted ceremonial apron was for.

Jif - I got the blue one.

Col - It'll get a lot more bluer once I get my hands around its neck.

Gerry - Snaxe? Reminds me of Cadbury's Snacks, mmmm. We stopped by at Cadbury World on the way to pick up this guitar but the factory was closed. Boo.

Furtheron - Cheers, me dears. Blue is the colour, as the Chelsea fans say.

Joanne - A guitar and cat moshpit? Is there any other type?
