It was pre-destined (by my girlfriend) to go round to the girlfriend's dad's house yesterday and sort out his garden for him. There were four of us there (minus Dad, who was on light duties, after all, he is retired) doing the weeding. Before I started doing my bit in tackling the weeding, I decided that "Honey", Dad's dog, needed a bath. Turned out she needed two baths. She hadn't been bathed for such a long time, that the poor mutt had dead fur congealed amongst her healthy fur. Honey needs to pay a visit to the vets, as she seems to have a few abnormal growths sprouting from her rear paw, face and gob. She also has difficulty in walking, as one of her rear legs has swollen really badly. She's an old dog but I hope the vet will give us hope as opposed to putting her down.
With the weeding and the bathing both complete, a light BBQ of spiced mutton, sausage, potato salad and green salad was consumed afterwards. Then it was off home, watching and listening at all the celebrations of England fans from the pubs, at gaining three points over Paraguay. Well, I didn't think it was that convincing a win. It was just a lucky spot kick in that the ball was chipped off a Paraguayan defender, who haplessly tried to header it out from the penalty area. England were fucking lucky.

Back to misery loves a sucka. With today's hot climate, I endeavour to:
1. Tidy the place up a bit,
2. Put a bit more concrete around the clothes pole &
3. Perhaps complete Stac's song with the laptop.
Jules will be popping around tomorow to hear the finished results. Listening to it in a depressed state as I will be, both of us defeated because of one man's lack of having a Scooby.
