Never Mind The World Cup...

...Taylor is named new boss at Selhurst Park. It's recently been announced that Peter Taylor has been named the new manager of Crystal Palace FC. That should keep the fans happy, as most of them were thinking that Graham Souness would be taking charge until recently, when Souness turned the position down. Taylor is allready a familiar face at Selhurst. He was signed as a winger from Southend United for £100,000 by the fedora-wearing Malcolm Allison back in'73. Overall, he had good form as a player and has achieved some good results as a manager. I'm not going to go into a biographical essay of his achievements (you can read about him here for starters), but I'm sure that I shan't be the only Palace fan who is hoping for great things from him.
He has left Hull City FC (Mick McCarthy is rumoured to be the new boss of the Tigers), and was originally named as one of the possible succesors to Alan Curbishley at Clowntown...but we all know what happened there!
