Poor pussycats. We went to a friends house yesterday which was over-run with screaming children and consequently even louder shouting adults. The Squidget "misplaced" my mobile phone and one of the other kids said that he had seen him flush it down the loo! So much disbelieving and feverish searching ensued. Rootling round I found a cardboard box and put my hand in in case the phone was hidden inside and got bitten by one of the hosts children's guinea pig!! I don't know who squealed louder - me or them! We found the phone eventually stuffed behind the sofa. Not amused.

Savvy - You could say that, but not for the cats.

RoMo - Ha! Why didn't you get someone to call the lost phone and listen out for the ringtone?
Mind you, it would've been hard to identify 'Peaches' beneath water or amid the screaming.

ISter - we did but the little bugger had switched it off which made me think he had flushed it down the loo!!

Cindy (RIP) used to cram herself into a cupboard and refuse to move till the noises stopped. In her final 2 years she couldn't hear it properly and didn't cower right at the back.

Thenie (current cat) wasn't at all bothered. She used to live outdoors, but I think the real explanation is she's in her teens and losing her hearing.

Affy (also RIP) loved the whole thing - she loved the bangs and loved the pretty lights. I had to confine her indoors to stop her going to investigate more closely. She spent whole evenings with her nose glued to the windowpane, wide-eyed and watching the the fireworks.

RoMo - Looks like you got away lightly with regards to your phone. Come to think of it, so did Squidget ;0)

Llewtrah - when it comes to fireworks, Benji & Champ don't give a stuff. Zappa growls and then runs behind the sofa as if he's seen a dalek.

Rockmother. . Hir r Hope all is well. . .Me Phones ha are they worth it I think sometimes. A long while back an old mobile phone(a friend gave me). I was holiday sitting for some of my friends little ones at the time. one of them messed with the phone and just did not own up but hide it. On finding key pad locked, id never used the lock b4. . .I tried every code I could think of to unlock you name it from 1,2,3,4 -4,3,2,1. . . I was near to loosing it when one of the kids a 7 year old says'let me try'. I refused more than three times only to give up and give it to him in the end. In a matter of seconds he cracked it. . . .Well Kissed the child and hugged him to pieces. .YUCK came his reply I'd rather Mcdonalds. . bless. .lol lol
