Hearing Aid Overkill

At this point in time I can't remember any details so I'm counting on RoMo to do the write up of last night's events (perhaps that's asking too much at the moment?). Clink, clink - fizz, fizz. Here are the dodgy camera-phone photos of what you missed out on.

A very loud Marshall wall of sound

Deafness Inc

L-R: Phil Campbell, Micky Dee & Lemmy Ahearingaid

A very blurred Phil Campbell playing his Minarik Inferno guitar

"Thank you Donnington!"

Lemmy, Campbell & Dee: "How come we're still alive?" "Pardon?"

I reckon your pics turned out better than mine. Still got some pub quiz ones to share tho'!

"Still got some pub quiz ones to share tho'!"
Is that wise?

I've decided to spare Roster's blushes by not publishing that pic of her dancing topless on the train on our way home.

Did you end up with her KISS t-shirt? I think she's still looking for it.

That's an ugly rumour sir, and I would ask you to conduct yourself in the proper manner. Failure to do so will result in the publication of photos of "dancing in the hole in the wall to Saturday Night Fever..."
...or something.

Oh no - pub quiz photo's? I'll be outed on the tinternet for being a langing old bag. My ears seem to have returned to normal and the KISS t-shirt is safe and sound in the washing machine. The only photo I have is of someone in a Wolfpuck jacket which made me laugh so much I just had to take a picture of it.

Hangover gone thanks to:
A can of coca cola and poached eggs on toast.

By the way - I spotted Micky Dee out by the river in Twickenham this afternoon with his mum. Highlights, tats, beefy calves - was def him. He shouted back to his mum to see if she was alright and she shouted back:
No! I'm fucked! - I had to look away and laugh - alot. Just thought I'd share that.

Savmama - if you are coming here to visit I advise you to go on liver detox or bring a portable dialysis unit with you in case! Just a tip.

xxx

My review's up by the way - it's more a flavour of the evening as I couldn't tell you what they played as it was so goddam loud. Switch it on dear. CK what? Eh? At least the hangover's gone x

We looked out for you on the Gatwick-Watford run Ister. Don't think we were on your train - unless of course you've morphed into an 18 stone West Indian wearing a Basement 5 t-shirt off his mash on sensimilia, blaring out 'By Them Ribers Off Bapylon at top whack and trying to impress a couple of Japanese looking tourists with Maple Leaf flags dotted all over their on their copiuous luggage/accoutrements with his Golda Meir tattoos (I never knew she was so.......supple, is all I can say).

Was that your Fiesta in flames in the car park at Thornton Heath station? Ken must be paying you lot a bladdy *fortune* if you can afford to live round there with insurance premiums like that. Mind you, having just been escorted home from the "Twickenham Beer Festival" by Starry Starry Futon ("paint your pallette blue and green"), I'm in no position to cast aspersszzions.

Cast 'em? I can't even *spell* 'em...

I just hope John Barry is a little more, shall we say, sedate.....?

L.U.V. on ya,

Bob

*sighing* i can't believe ya'll didn't take ONE group pic for ME!

Savvy - I think Howesy took some group pics, you'll have to bug him sugah.

DH - Not only is Lemmy timeproof, he's bombproof aswell. In the event of nuclear fall-out, only Lemmy & cockroaches will survive.

RoMo - Only Micky Dee could have a mum like that. It's also a good idea for a TV show: "Rock stars & their coarse parents".
Imagine what Ozzy's dad would've been like if he was alive.
I shall read your review asap. x

Hello Bob - How was your holiday? I hope it went well. Was the weather nice and warm? It was fucking cold over here, that's why I had to set the Fiesta on fire. Our central heating's still not up'n'running.

Enjoy John Barry (shrewd move by Cocker getting someone like him on the bill specially so that the older folk can enjoy Meltdown too;-P )

i'm ok..thanks...

His arse may sag but he will live forever!

there's a new piece of info on my site *snickering*

"...specially so that the older folk can enjoy Meltdown too.."

I'll bet you a penny to a pahnd Istster that the (approaching 60-year old) Igster will be there watching JB with all us other hip cool oldsters...

btw - how did it go the other night? I mean, The Stooges gig - obviously....

L.U.V. on ya,

Bob

It went really well Bob.

We're going to see Motorhead tomorrow.

rockmother said...

I'm confused - we saw Motorhead! It's Iggy tomorrow isn't it? Or am I senile?

Istvanski said...

It's ok Roster. I was just humouring Bob. His carbon spewing trip on holiday has made him lose the plot, and only a John Barry concert will cure him.

rockmother said...

Oh - I'm obviously far too serious today. x

Istvanski said...

Couldn't believe that the Igster was (according to Bob) approaching his 60th year.

Iggy turned 60 last April.

Old.
Sweaty.
Whippet.

rockmother said...

Definately *would not*.

savannah said...

ok..soooooooo

did you miss me?

rockmother said...

Actually - I've changed my mind - I would shag 60 sweaty whippets if they all looked like Iggy Pop!

llewtrah said...

Just read Ro-Mo's account in conjunction with your pics and looks like a good time!

Istvanski said...

Savvy - Back so soon? I thought you were taking a sabbatical. Good to have you back luv.

RoMo - I hear that Walthamstow dog stadium need some stewards. They have around 14 races a night each featuring 6 dogs per race. That makes a total of 84 dogs to choose from. You'll be spoiled for choice.
I know they're not technically whippets, but you can always pretend that they are, and they'll definately be sweaty after the race.

Llewtrah - It was a top night out. You missed a good gig.
